Scan card access is for Biology Department Staff, Faculty, Postdocs and Graduate students, during the hours of 9:00-4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, and Saturday 9:00-2:00 p.m., when staff are present. We are a busy teaching and research facility with several groups here working at the same time. The 4 collection rooms are open for you to visit. Access to the other rooms is limited, unless you are viewing materials for specific course teaching needs.

We welcome you to bring non-biology visitors during public hours on Thursdays 12-4 pm., and during the twice monthly open Saturdays.  The regular Saturday Public dates will vary during football season. Please check the website for current Public dates.

Guidelines for visiting the Greenhouse-

Due to the building design, the main Greenhouse entrance, by the grand staircase in lower lobby, leads through a teaching classroom/meeting room/rental venue. This room is heavily used at certain times of the year.

Please observe and abide by the signs posted outside and, on the doors, for facility closure notifications and room in use notices, to prevent interrupting or walking through the middle of a meeting, class, tour group or rented venue event or entering when facility is closed to entry for safety reasons.  When the Classroom is in use, please enter facility using the loading dock entrance.

When leaving, if the GH Classroom is still in use, please exit the dock entrance or use the one way exit door to the back patio, at the end of the center corridor. The alarm will sound locally, please make sure the door closes completely behind you.
