LSB Conference Rooms

Description

How to request reservations for LSB conference rooms.

Purpose

In order to maximize availability of LSB conference rooms for all of us for daily meetings and collaborations, the department has developed a policy for scheduling LSB conference rooms.

Procedure

Book your room through the Biology scheduler.

After using a room: Please be sure to erase the whiteboards, put furniture back in its place, clean up any garbage/compostable items and close the door.  You are responsible for ensuring that the room is in good condition for the next user.

You must complete the “summary” field on the reservation request stating what the request is for, otherwise the reservation will be rejected.

Bookings that will be approved as far into the future as requested:

1. One-time (not recurring) bookings by members of the department for departmental and/or instructional use

2. Recurring bookings for research or department-related purposes (e.g. committee meetings)

3. Recurring bookings for Lab meetings/grad seminars/journal clubs where a Biology faculty member is the instructor of record

4.  Recurring bookings for TA or peer facilitator meetings*

Bookings that will be approved 1 quarter in advance (or as far in advance as needed for course scheduling by Instructional Services)

1. Recurring bookings for Graded-credit graduate courses where a Biology faculty member is the instructor of record

2. Recurring bookings for Undergraduate Senior Seminars (Biol 483-490)
