Dr. Anisa Ibrahim(link is external), former UW Biology student ('09, biology and physiology), was recently interviewed on NBC Nightly News(link is external). Dr. Ibrahim came to the United States at age six as a refugee from Somalia, and her family settled in Seattle. As a young girl, she was treated at Harborview Pediatrics Clinic and dreamed of becoming a doctor. Now she leads the clinic as its medical director. Watch the video below.
