I combine theory and data to investigate how climate variability and species interactions affect species' ecological and evolutionary dynamics. My research focuses on: (1) feedbacks between ecology and evolution, (2) ecological and evolutionary responses to climate, and (3) the dynamics of mutualistic and consumer-resource interactions.
I am collaborating with Dr. Lauren Buckley on the NSF funded TrEnCh project (https://trenchproject.github.io/) to investigate species' ecological and evolutionary responses to climate variability, particularly global climate change.
I majored in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Arizona and conducted my graduate research at the University of California, Los Angeles. I have held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Arizona and the ETH Zürich, and was an associate research scientist at Princeton University before joining the University of Washington.
