The endowment supporting this award was established in 1990 by Dr. Lawrence Giles, an alumnus of the former Botany Department, and Ms. Elizabeth Guy. The award supports general research costs for plant biology.

Eligibility

Department of Biology graduate students conducting research using a plant system, including botany, ecology, population biology, and systematics, in which field work is a significant part of the research.
