Eric is currently researching the role of voltage-gated ion channels in the mechanisms that underlie adult neurogenesis, utilizing the neural pathways implicated in song production and learning in songbirds as a model.
Eric grew up in Vermont, received a BS in Chemistry from Boston College, a MS in Forensic Science from Syracuse University and a PhD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
