**Summer Quarter Only TA exception: TA positions are shortened during Summer quarter due to the dates of instruction (June 16 - August 15). The UW Graduate School offers a 20% increase in salary for Summer quarter TAs, in order to help compensate for the shortened position. Please note the dates on your appointment letter, before accepting a Summer quarter TAship.

**Students who have held an ASE position (TA/RA/Fellowship) consecutively between Autumn-Spring will automatically be covered by GAIP for Summer Quarter - however your budgets are still charged benefits costs as all hourly positions incur this charge.

Tuition Costs (Operating Fee)

Tuition Dashboard will show you the costs for the quarter (You are paying the Operating Fee only)

 For the dropdown menus, you will choose the following:

  • Seattle Campus
  • Resident (International and NR students receive a waiver for resident tuition price)

  • A, W, SPR quarters = 10 CR / Summer = 2CR (but can go up to 10)

 Benefits cost (&Calculation):

 To calculate the amount of benefits that would be charged to your budget, apply the benefit rate in the table below to the total salaries for that particular object code. For example, in Fiscal Year 2020, if your budget was charged $1,000 of salaries in Object Code 01-60, and $2,000 of salaries in Object Code 01-70:

($1,000 X 41.2%) + ($2,000 X 32.1%) = $412 + $642 = $1,054 is the total benefits that should be charged to your budget.

For our graduate students, starting in fall, the stipend amount will be $10,860 X 18.7% for grads = $2030.82 for benefits
