Yan Wang, who will be joining the University of Washington as a joint Assistant Professor in Biology and Psychology in Autumn 2022, was recently named an Allen Institute Next Generation Leader.
Next Generation Leaders are selected each year through a competitive process that includes applications from around the world. The six Next Generation Leaders selected will each have a three-year term on the advisory council, for a total of 18 council members at any given time. As the program is focused on early-career neuroscience researchers, council members are postdoctoral fellows or newly appointed faculty members.
This honor follows Yan's selection by the National Postdoctoral Association as an IMPACT Fellow.
The National Postdoctoral Association's (NPA) IMPACT Fellowship Program is an esteemed initiative designed to empower postdoctoral scholars from underrepresented backgrounds to build skills, understand strengths and develop networks. Competition for program seats was intense with more than seventy applicants from across the globe for six positions.
Congratulations, Yan!
