Abigail Swann, Associate Professor for the UW Department of Biology and Department of Atmospheric Sciences, was recently awarded the American Meteorological Society’s Walter Orr Roberts Lectureship. 

The Walter Orr Roberts Lecturer in Interdisciplinary Sciences is selected in recognition of significant contributions to the understanding of atmospheric processes through the effective interchange of knowledge between atmospheric science disciplines or between atmospheric scientists and scientists of other disciplines. 

The formal presentation of the award will occur in conjunction with the 101st AMS Annual Meeting, scheduled to be held 10-14 January 2021.
