Research Interests

I'm interested in the coordination of pollination between plants and insects. Both plants and insects have circadian clocks which regulate many aspects of their physiology. These clocks synchronize the relationship between the two: plants emit scent at a specific time of day, which corresponds with the activity periods of the plant's most important pollinators. I examine this coevolutionary relationship from a broad perspective, looking at how molecular interactions within the organisms ultimately influence their behavior.
