I am interested in how plants develop and grow at both the molecular and physiological level. In the Nemhauser Lab, this means understanding how auxin pathways are structured and function, influencing plant growth. As a lab tech, I facilitate research by performing assays and supporting both post-docs and graduate students.
Sabrina is an alumnus of the University of Washington. She graduated from UW in the spring of 2019 with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Resource Management. She started volunteering for the Nemhauser Lab in November 2019 and became a laboratory technologist I in January 2020. As Sabrina has been navigating research as a lab tech, she as also applied to graduate school programs. She is currently looking at programs to which she has been accepted for PhD programs starting in Autumn 2020.
