Research Interests:

I emphasize quantitative approaches to basic and applied questions in population, community, and ecosystem ecology, particularly in nearshore marine environments. For instance, what supports productive estuarine food webs, and what is carrying capacity? What is the predicted population growth rate of an invasive species, and at what life stage is it best controlled? What are the direct and indirect effects of shellfish farming on eelgrass?
