Welcome to the website for the UW-HHMI Science Education Programs. Our programs aim to increase the diversity and success of students and mentors in the biological sciences and drive innovations in biology education and outreach. We are based in the UW Department of Biology and our efforts been generously supported by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) since 1989.
We hope you will take a few minutes to learn about our programs for UW students, postdocs, and faculty, and our outreach programs for Washington state K-12 students and teachers. In addition to these programs, we have also established the Northwest HHMI Network with collaborators at Gonzaga University, Montana State University, Oregon State University, and the University of Montana to extend our reach to the larger Northwest region.
The UW-HHMI Programs Office is in Hitchcock Hall 302.
