Welcome to the website for the UW-HHMI Science Education Programs. Our programs were designed to increase the diversity and success of students and mentors in the biological sciences and drive innovations in science education and outreach. Our programs were generously supported by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) from 1989 through 2012 and based in the Department of Biology.
We hope you will take a few minutes to learn about our programs for UW students, postdocs, and faculty, and our outreach programs for K-12 students and teachers from across the state of Washington We are anxious to share our HHMI-funded resources with interested colleagues. Please see our program pages for links to our materials and publications. We welcome your feedback about whether these resources are useful for your work in science education, training, and research.
