Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity Advising (OMAD)
The Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity Academic Counseling Services are dedicated to supporting academic excellence and undergraduate student achievement at the UW. OMA&D ACS offer one-to-one advising and assistance to UW students, particularly students from low-income families, students who will be the first in their family to graduate from a four-year college, and under-represented minority students.
Undergraduate Academic Advising
Advising for UW general education requirements as well as preprofessional advising for students interested in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, nursing, physical therapy and other health professions. General information sessions offered quarterly; drop-in hours and appointments also available.
Pre Health advising is offered through the General academic advising unit on campus and information about pre-professional pre-requisite coursework can be found on this website. This website is a tool with basic guidelines and information only. Students should always check exact pre-requisites for each school they plan on applying to.
